Insta Hotspots- Dundee Edition

For my last blog post I have decided to write about the alleged 'sunshine city' and my hometown, Dundee. From restaurants and cocktail bars to lochs and sea views, the city offers it all. Here is a list of my all time favourite places that are definitely Instagramable and worth a visit.

1. Flame Tree Café (20A Exchange Street)

The Flame Tree café is a popular choice in Dundee when it comes to lunch. They offer the cutest meals including rainbow bagels. This is a must do if you are looking for a cute lunch out. Not only is it budget friendly but it is definitely Instagram worthy too.

2. The Boozy Cow (8 Roseangle Street)

From milkshakes and burgers to cocktails, The Boozy Cow offers the best of them

all. This is literally foodie heaven, and with DJs playing at night, The Boozy Cow really is the place to be. The bill can be heavy here but all profits go to charities so is totally worth it.

3. 172 at the Caird (172 Nethergate)

172 at the Caird is the perfect place to go for drinks. The bar has the cutest décor and a beer garden which is great for the odd summery day. They do the best cocktails like daiquiri slushies and even better, if you are a poor student like me, they do them in 2 for £10 deals. Amazing.

4. The West House (2 West Port)

If you are an early riser the breakfast at The West House is a must. The pancakes are to die for and sooo reasonably priced. If your like me however, and find it difficult to get up and out the house before 11am, they also do a lunch menu with two meals for £10! With amazing cocktails too, this is the perfect place for a cute meal out.

5. The Law Hill

If from Dundee you will most likely been up the law hill. If you are not a local however this is a must do- it shows the view of the city down below and makes for a very insta worthy shot.

6. Reekie Linn

If you want to venture out into the outskirts of Dundee and see the countryside, Reekie Linn is the perfect place to visit. If your lucky enough to be here on a sunny day you can swim in the loch near to the waterfall. Even if the weather isn't great the walk is really beautiful and worthy of an Instagram.

7. The Waterfront

The waterfront is for sure the prettiest part of Dundee. Overlooking the River Tay, the waterfront has the most amazing views. With both Slessor gardens and the V&A being built, the waterfront has become the heart of the city and is definitely worth a visit.
