Insta Hotspots- Dundee Edition

Image
For my last blog post I have decided to write about the alleged 'sunshine city' and my hometown, Dundee. From restaurants and cocktail bars to lochs and sea views, the city offers it all. Here is a list of my all time favourite places that are definitely Instagramable and worth a visit. 1. Flame Tree Café (20A Exchange Street) The Flame Tree café is a popular choice in Dundee when it comes to lunch. They offer the cutest meals including rainbow bagels. This is a must do if you are looking for a cute lunch out. Not only is it budget friendly but it is definitely Instagram worthy too.  2. The Boozy Cow (8 Roseangle Street) From milkshakes and burgers to cocktails, The Boozy Cow offers the best of them all. This is literally foodie heaven, and with DJs playing at night, The Boozy Cow really is the place to be. The bill can be heavy here but all profits go to charities so is totally worth it. 3. 172 at the Caird (172 Nethergate) 172 ...

Insta Worthy Glasgow- Hotspots

For my final blog post about Glasgow I have decided to pull together a few of the many hidden gems (and some not so hidden) dotted around the city. Whether you are new to the city or just want to explore, these are some of the Instagram hotspots in Glasgow that really are a must do. 1. "The Coneheid" or The Equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington This mostly boring statue has recently become a cultural landmark in Glasgow. After 140 years of standing without much attention, one day a traffic cone appeared on the Duke's head. The council attempted to remove the cone many times but each time, someone would replace it. Eventually they stopped taking it down and let the cone stay. People believe it was a drunk student who originally placed the cone but no one has claimed the honour- a Glaswegian Banksy? Or maybe they just don't remember, who knows - but it is definitely worth a visit! 2. Ashton Lane In the west end of Glasgow lies one of the m...

"I'm not a morning person, I'm a coffee person" If you are anything like me, coffee is needed to function. Whether you are new to Glasgow or just trying to venture out from the usual coffee chains, these are my 4 favourite coffee shops to get that caffeine fix and make those cold autumn mornings that bit more bearable. 1. Market Coffee (1071 Cathcart Road) If you are a lover of cute décor and coffee, this place is a must do. Being owned by an interior design blogger, the aesthetic is obviously perfect. From the rose gold cutlery to the marble tables and pink neon lights, Market is not only one of the most instagramable places in Glasgow but also offers a great cup of coffee.  2. Tinderbox (118 Ingram Street) Tinderbox is another coffee shop in Glasgow with a really cool aesthetic. Not only are their drinks fab, the décor is also amazing. This place is definitely worth a try, and if you're craving a hot drink to sweeten up your day I ...

For my second blog post I'll be writing about another one of my favourite things- cocktails. These are my go to cocktail bars in Glasgow when that sweet SAAS comes in and I can afford to treat myself, as well as some bars that are more budget friendly. All of these places have something special about them which will definitely spice up your insta game. 1. Revolution (84 Mitchell Street)  Revolution is hands down my favourite cocktail bar in Glasgow. They offer a wide range of cocktails for reasonable prices that all taste amazing. Not only do they provide daiquiri slushes (amazing), they also have such a cute aesthetic that makes for perfect photo opportunities. From cocktails in bags, to baths filled with colourful balls, this bar offers it all. Best of all, if you are on a budget they do discounted cocktails from Monday to Thursday. Blessed.  2. Slug & Lettuce (150 St Vincent Street) Three words- Pornstar Martini Heaven . If you too are a lover o...

If you are on a student budget this place is perfect for you with pizzas starting at just £5. *Heart eyes emoji* 2.
